This 3 week festival see’s the crème de la crème of stand up comedy entertain the crowds of the cosmopolitan seaside town. The line up so far includes some of the biggest names in comedy such as: Stewart Lee, Jimmy Carr, Alexei Sayle, Russell Kane, Tony Law, David Baddiel, Paul Merton & Lee Nelson along with emerging talent hot off the success of their Fringe runs and The Squawker Awards return with applications now open for Brighton’s very own New Act competition.

This year BCF will see a very special event coming to town on Sunday 22nd September 8pm, Brighton Dome Concert Hall. Five of the greatest current UK comedians are coming together to raise money for the Labour Party. Laughs for Labour will be hosted by the conductor of easy good cheer, Stephen K Amos with guests: John Bishop, Britain’s blokish comedy everyman, Eddie Izzard the master of the hilarious stream of consciousness, Jo Brand with her acerbic warmth and the lugubrious and remorselessly pithy Welshman, Lloyd Langford. Whatever your political leanings this event is utterly unmissable!
