Eighteen contenders for the comedy crown, previously won by Sarah Millican and Jack Whitehall, are preparing to battle it out for audience votes in London this month, to win through to the final of Amused Moose Laugh Off during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.

Hen & Chickens welcomes the London and Southern England rounds of the prestigious AmusedMoose Laugh Off 2012 supported by leading UK owned DVD company 2entertain for the first time, featuring seven of the most entertaining 10% who have won through in earlier rounds from the 500+ London entrants. See the stars of tomorrow today, and vote for your favourites alongside professional talent scouts. There is a £1500 cheque waiting for the winner at the Final during the Edinburgh Fringe in August, plus loads of exposure, a shiny moose trophy, and possibilities of management offers and a DVD deal.
A record-breaking 700 entries have so far been made for the prestigious, nationwide Amused Moose Laugh Off contest, which searches out and discovers the next big comedy stars.
Entries opened on 1st January, but due to 50% more interest than expected extra qualifying rounds have been added including one this coming Sunday in Camden, to accommodate the waiting list that formed for the qualifying rounds in London as well as the North of England and Scotland. There are now just a handful of spaces available in London this Sunday, and in the Ireland rounds in April.
