
Short Com is a not-for-profit short comedy film programme that finds the best independently made short comedy films sketches by new talent. Short Com makes it London debut at the Pleasance Islington on the 4th of October after it’s debut appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival having impressed many audiences and comedians by offering something different to the Fringe.
Showing the funniest and most charming independently short comedy films/sketches by the hottest upcoming filmmaking and comedy talent in the UK and Ireland. Screening a carefully curated programme of live action and animation films, many award winning onto a big screen in front of a live audience. “…an hour-long bill that offers some of the best underground films you’re likely to see this year”. The London showcase will feature several award winning films and some notable comic names. Profits raised from the night will be going to Short Com’s sponsored charity CALM, who are a male suicide prevention organisation for young men battling depression and other stressful demands www.thecalmzone.net
Following the London showcase, Short Com will be part of one of a programme for one of the fastest growing and biggest UK film festival in 2014. All will be revealed in November.
